Parent Participation

Greenwich Public School has an established tradition of achievement through team effort and community participation. The quality of a child’s education will stem from a strong partnership between home and school.

Parents need to regularly check the ‘School News’ for the many ways in which they can be involved within the school. At Greenwich Public School parents are welcomed as:

• active Parent & Citizen Association members
• active environmental and bush regeneration committee members
• band coordinators and helpers
• active participants in workshops or in-service days aimed at informing parents of current teaching trends that better equip parents in helping children at home
• class co-coordinators
• fund raisers
• guest speakers
• helpers in the classroom
• helpers on excursions
• library helpers
• maintenance helpers at working bees
• mentors
• reading tutors
• School Council members
